One procedure, shown to each audience

For the surgeon, the nurse or the patient, the level of detail changes; every step keeps its source.

  • The surgical technique, step by step

For a joint replacement: positioning, approach, bone preparation, trials, placement of the implant, closure. The video follows the manufacturer's written document, instruments included, in the order the team uses them.

  • Surgical procedure animation

Animation shows what the theatre camera cannot see: the implant in the bone, the instrument beneath the tissues, the procedure in cross-section or in transparency. Every diagram stays labelled as an illustration.

  • Surgical animation for theatre training

Theatre nurses, surgical trainees, the manufacturer's teams: the same sequence prepares a first operation, recalls the order of the instruments or serves in a workshop. Consistent with the IFU and without claims, it remains a correct-use tool.

  • The procedure explained to the patient

Before the operation, the patient sees what will happen: the parts of the prosthesis, the approach, the recovery, the risks stated clearly. With no brand and no recognisable implant, the video refers to the surgeon for any decision.

  • Medicine reconstitution video

For clinicians: vial, solvent, syringe, transfer, mixing, visual check, in the order of the summary of product characteristics and the package leaflet. The video uses their words and adds no advice.

  • Reconstituting an injectable at home

For patients who prepare their own injection: the steps in the package leaflet, the equipment, disposal. The video supports the training given by a clinician; in a learning programme in France, its materials are authorised by the ANSM, the French regulator.

A hip replacement explained to the patient

This film shows an operation to those who are going to have it, from the parts of the prosthesis to the surgical approaches, with no brand at all. It is the procedure video for patients; for your surgeons, a surgical technique video follows the same method, every step tied to your IFU.

Still from our total hip replacement video: the prosthesis in place, the cup in the pelvis, the stem in the femur and the head between them
Excerpt, 10 s Hip osteoarthritis and total hip replacement. Osteoarthritis of the hip, its signs, its diagnosis, the treatment families without surgery, the point at which a replacement is discussed, the operation, the recovery, the risks stated in figures and the lifespan of implants according to registries.

From the congress to the patient's home

From presenting to surgeons to preparing an injection, the video helps wherever the procedure must be understood.

An implant launch: the surgical technique presented to surgeons at congresses, in workshops or by the manufacturer's teams.

A first operation: the theatre team reviews the order of the steps and instruments before operating with a new implant.

A consultation: the surgeon shows the operation to the patient, who can watch it again at home with their family.

Discharge from hospital: patients continuing an injectable treatment at home can find the preparation steps again.

An update to the SmPC or the leaflet: the reconstitution video follows the new version, step by step.

Every step of the procedure, its source

For a procedure, the primary source is your document: IFU, written surgical technique or SmPC. Every step of the script refers to it, with the page and the exact passage, before the first frame.

  1. 01

    Scoping, in 30 minutes

Objective, audience, where the video will be shown, available references and regulatory points to watch.

  2. 02

    The referenced script

Every line is tied to a reference, with its page and the exact passage that supports it.

  3. 03

    The visuals

Motion design and medical animation, with AI assisting part of the production. Diagrams remain illustrations.

  4. 04

    Checks and delivery

An automated check finds every passage, word for word, on the page cited; two independent AI-assisted audits then re-check a sample in the documents; your review committee, or your MLR review in a pharmaceutical company, approves the final version.

What you receive

The film is cut into chapters, one per step: you reuse them in training, in workshops or in an online module, each with its source.

  • The film and its broadcast files

Landscape for your website, YouTube and the training room; portrait, square or 4:5 for social media.

  • Subtitles and transcript

SRT file and full text: accessibility, viewing without sound and search visibility for the page that hosts the film.

  • The script and the justification file

Every line, its reference, its page and the exact passage, ready for your internal review.

  • The bibliographic references

The full list, in order of appearance, with links to the public sources.

  • The versions you need

Short excerpts, stills, a poster or slides, depending on your channels. Quoted with the final version.

  • Languages

The languages you choose: every translated line keeps its source and exact passage, and the rules of the country where the video is shown are checked at scoping.

Surgical technique, implants and reconstitution: the rules

For a video shown in France, a surgical technique consistent with the IFU, without promotional claims, is a correct-use tool that the ANSM excludes from advertising. As soon as it praises an implant, it becomes an advertisement (Article L.5213-1 of the French Public Health Code); for hip, knee, shoulder and ankle prostheses, the ANSM must authorise it in advance for healthcare professionals (Article L.5213-4, amended ministerial order of 24 September 2012). A reconstitution video stays within the SmPC and the leaflet; if promotional, it needs the ANSM visa (Article L.5122-9); in a learning programme, its materials are authorised by the ANSM (Article L.1161-5). We write within this framework; release remains your decision.

Frequently asked questions

Is a surgical technique video an advertisement?
Not if it remains a correct-use tool. In France, the ANSM excludes from advertising the surgical technique and the demonstration of use consistent with the IFU, which support correct use without encouraging purchase or praising the product's advantages. As soon as it promotes the implant, the video becomes an advertisement (Article L.5213-1 of the French Public Health Code): objective, with its statements, and subject to the ANSM's prior authorisation if the device appears in the amended ministerial order of 24 September 2012.
Do hip and knee prostheses need advertising authorisation?
In France, yes, for healthcare professionals. Hip, knee, shoulder and ankle prostheses are listed in the amended ministerial order of 24 September 2012: any advertisement for these prostheses aimed at professionals requires prior authorisation from the ANSM (Article L.5213-4 of the French Public Health Code). To the public, a joint prosthesis, class III under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, cannot be advertised at all once it is covered by national health insurance (Article L.5213-3).
Must a reconstitution video follow the SmPC?
Yes. Every step follows the summary of product characteristics and the package leaflet: same order, same words, no added advice. If the video promotes the medicine to healthcare professionals in France, it respects the marketing authorisation (Article L.5122-2 of the French Public Health Code) and must obtain the ANSM advertising visa (Article L.5122-9). Produced within a risk minimisation plan, it relays a communication plan agreed with the ANSM.
Can a pharmaceutical company give patients a self-injection video?
Not as advertising: in France, advertising to the public is prohibited for a prescription-only or reimbursable medicine (Article L.5122-6 of the French Public Health Code). The video can, however, serve a learning programme that helps patients master the techniques of their treatment. The prescribing doctor offers it, healthcare professionals run it, the company has no direct contact with the patient, and the ANSM authorises the programme and its materials (Article L.1161-5).
Animation or theatre footage: which to choose?
The two complement each other. Filmed footage shows a surgeon's real procedure on a given patient. Animation shows what the camera cannot see, the implant in the bone or the instrument beneath the tissues, with no patient on screen, and can be revised step by step when the IFU changes. For a surgical technique, we produce the animation from your written document, then your MLR review approves each step.

Your procedure, as a first version

Describe your topic in a few lines. After a 30-minute call, we produce a first version of up to 60 seconds, in motion design and in the language you choose. You judge it on screen; the quote for the final version comes next, with no commitment.
